I got super delayed to blog this because of many suff I’ve been doing all along. But here I am still typing to let you guys know that I went Jenny Han’s book signing event!
It was my first book signing by the way. I’ve let so many chances especially when Mitch Albom went here or even the day where Veronica Rossi, Tarehe Mafi and did a book signing last summer. Too bad, I was in Bicol at that time. *Le cries a river*
But on the brighter side, I didn’t miss to go to Jenny Han’s book signing!! So I was supposed to go with my co-fan girls in my fangirl twitter account (which is a secret that I can never tell haha xoxo gossip girl) at that day but they had other plans so I went with little sister, Danize. Danize and I got a the venue at around 9:30 am and the registration is at 10 am. But the line was too long and I was actually hesitating whether we should go or not. But we still did.
Here’s the reasons why:
1. Because I really wanted to get some snippet of her next book called P.S. I still love you. It’s the second book of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. I’ve read it recently this summer and I really love the book so much!! [SPOILER ALERT] Anyway, she told us that there’s another boy who would be going to Lara Jean’s life. Me and my sisters were actually guessed there would be another guy before Jenny Han told us that. But I’m a pure PETER KRAVINSKY fan. So if they weren’t together by the end of the story I’d probably die (just kidding I wasn’t serious).
2. I wasn’t really a fan of Jenny Han until I’ve read To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. I did read I Summer I turned Pretty and half-way of the second book of the series. But I didn’t like it much tho. It was too cliche and predictable. I honestly got bored reading it (sorry not sorry to fans of it). But when I read To All Boys—, I could relate of every situation Lara Jean is facing such as her relationship with her family or how she keep her letters to herself. Back then, I wrote love letters to some of my crushes and failed to gave it to them so I decided to just throw it away together with my feelings. I just don’t have to confidence to tell them how I truly feel. #hugothits
And oh before I forget, she also told us that she was inspired writing the book because she do write letters to her crushes when she was little. But she never gave it to them too. She regret she didn’t bring one of it to the Philippines because she was planning to read it to us!
3. Idk………. I just really want to see her! We really didn’t regret meeting her and I think it was fun meeting her. I also realise how fluffy and cute she was! I wish I had a sister like her.
These early bird fans got their advance copy of Ashes to Ashes.
Thank you also NBS for bringing Jenny Han to the Philippines!
